Just when you can’t think it can get any worse for Nebraska, it does.

After Ryker Fyfe threw his first career touchdown pass to Stanley Morgan, De’Mornay Pierson-El went down with a serious knee injury. He was carted off the field after trainers checked him out.

Pierson-El was celebrating the Nebraska touchdown but nobody saw the live shot of how ugly it was. ESPNU wouldn’t even show a replay because it said it was too graphic.

Here’s the best screenshot of the injury.

Pierson-El already missed the non-conference slate because of a foot injury. The preseason All-American has only been on the field for five games this season.

The Huskers were already playing without their starting quarterback, Tommy Armstrong. Offense will be even tougher to come by without Pierson-El.
