RB Maurice Washington officially dismissed from Nebraska
By Paul Harvey
Published:
Maurice Washington’s time at Nebraska is over with the school announcing Friday that the running back has officially been dismissed from the team.
Washington last appeared in a game in October for the Cornhuskers before being suspended indefinitely. While it seemed like that put an end to his time with the team, head coach Scott Frost did not rule out a return down the road.
That has changed now that Washington has officially been dismissed. Nebraska also indicated that Washington is expected to hit the transfer portal in the near future:
#Huskers have announced Maurice Washington's dismissal. No quotes or anything. Just says he's been dismissed from the team and is expected to enter the NCAA transfer portal "soon."

Washington is still awaiting a trial that has been pushed back repeatedly. He also served a couple of first-half suspensions this season related to other issues.
Washington ends his Nebraska career with 1,136 total yards of offense and seven touchdowns over parts of two seasons in the program. Hopefully, he can turn things around moving forward.
