Nebraska wide receiver Brandon Reilly was cited for driving under the influence on 2:15 a.m. after St. Patrick’s Day.

According to the police report, Reilly was pulled over for going 65 MPH in a 60 MPH-zone and he also failed to use his turn signal. The report said the officer smelled alcohol on Reilly and he went through field sobriety tests.

Reilly blew 0.15, which is nearly twice the legal limit of .08. He was cited with first offense DUI.

“We will continue to monitor the situation and determine the appropriate disciplinary measures,” a statement from Nebraska athletics said.

Reilly was responsible for the controversial game-winning touchdown against undefeated Michigan State. He was one of Nebraska’s top returning receivers after hauling in 40 catches for 754 yards.

It remains to be seen what type of punishment Reilly will face.
