A four-star junior college defensive tackle who committed to Nebraska in April but didn’t sign a letter of intent has confirmed his loyalty to the Huskers.
Wednesday, Hail Varsity reported that Jahkeem Green affirmed his commitment to Nebraska. He originally gave his pledge to the program on an official visit to the spring game.
Green is currently awaiting his final grades from Highland Community College, where he spent the last two seasons. Assuming he meets the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s academic requirements, he’ll be able to join the Huskers during fall camp.
Per Hail Varsity, folks in Lincoln were nervous when Green took an official visit to Texas Tech. Since he hadn’t signed a letter of intent, he was able to continue to take visits. Ultimately, though, he didn’t budge on his pledge to Nebraska.
If everything checks off academically, Green will likely be able to join the program within the next 10 days.
