Former Nebraska defensive coordinator Bob Diaco has landed another gig with an FBS program.

FootballScoop is reporting that Diaco will be the new defensive coordinator at Louisiana Tech. He gets the new DC job after spending last season as the linebackers coach at Oklahoma. He took over as defensive coordinator after Mike Stoops was fired from his post midway through the season.

Diaco was the defensive coordinator at Nebraska in 2017, Mike Riley’s final year with the program. He was fired along with Riley and other assistant coaches following a 4-8 campaign and a particularly poor defensive season.

Prior to arriving at Nebraska, Diaco was the head coach at Connecticut from 2014-16. He compiled an 11-26 record an took the Huskies to just one bowl game in that three-year period.

Diaco has also had stops at Notre Dame, Cincinnati, Virginia, Central Michigan, Western Michigan and Eastern Michigan in his coaching career.
