A Nebraska football player has found himself in hot water after failing to appear at his sentencing hearing for driving on a suspended license. The Lincoln Journal Star reported the news.

Safety Marquel Dismuke failed to appear at his sentencing for driving on a suspended license back on July 12, 2019. He was pulled over because there was no front license plate on his vehicle. He received a citation for driving on a suspended license, and was also fined $150 just two months early for the same reason.

Dismuke pleaded guilty to the citation last month and was ordered to return for sentencing on Wednesday. According to the Lincoln Journal Star, Dismuke would be able to post his $500 bond by paying $50, if he’s picked up on the warrant.

This season, Dismuke has started in all games for the Huskers. He’s totaled 51 tackles, 1.5 stops for loss and three pass break-ups this year. Nebraska is 4-4 on the season.

Dismuke, a junior, as totaled 95 career tackles in his three years in Lincoln.
