According to a report, former Nebraska LB Avery Roberts has found a new home.

Roberts, a former 4-star recruit in the Class of 2017 according to 247Sports, was ranked as the No. 1 prospect in the state of Delaware and No. 8 inside linebacker in the country. The 6-foot-1, 220-pound linebacker chose Nebraska over other high-profile programs such as Penn State, Ohio State, Clemson and Oklahoma.

He was granted his release last week and Roberts apparently made quick work of finding Oregon State as a landing spot. Last season with the Cornhuskers, Roberts recorded four tackles on special teams.

Nebraska is opening up its 2018 season with a matchup against Akron. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. on Saturday and the game will be televised on FOX.
