Nebraska wide receiver Stanley Morgan, Jr. was arrested in Florida for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on May 6, according to KETV Newswatch 7.

Per the article on KETV.com, Morgan Jr. was arrested for possessing 21.4 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop. Possession in excess of 20 grams is a felony under Florida law.

The arresting officer says he saw cannabis in plain view inside the vehicle. Morgan admitted that the cannabis belonged to him and that he purchased it while on vacation in Florida.

Morgan is not currently in custody.

Also according to the report, Huskers head coach Mike Riley was made aware of the situation but will not take any action and won’t have any comment on the situation until he has “all information regarding the matter.”

Morgan will be a junior with Nebraska this season. He caught 33 passes for 453 yards and two touchdowns in 2016. In two seasons with the Huskers, Morgan has racked up over 750 yards and 10 touchdowns.
