Former Nebraska running back and current Houston Texans running back Rex Burkhead punched in his first touchdown of the season Sunday afternoon.

Burkhead caught an 8-yard pass from Davis Mills to score and cut into the Los Angeles Chargers’ lead.

The play helped spark a comeback fro the Texans, and they’ve now scored two touchdowns and a field goal unanswered to make it just a 27-24 lead for the Chargers late in the game.

Burkhead has had a slow start to the season, but will look to use his first touchdown to spark a fire.

Burkhead played at Nebraska from 2009 to 2012, where he recorded 3,329 career touchdowns and 30 career touchdowns. He was drafted in the 6th round of the 2013 NFL Draft.

He has played for Cincinnati, New England and most recently, Houston.
