Samori Toure impresses with pair of TDs in Shrine Bowl performance
Samori Toure is looking to build his stock for the 2022 NFL Draft after wrapping up his career at Nebraska, and the wide receiver put in a strong performance during Thursday’s East-West Shrine Bowl.
Playing as a member of the East Team, Toure put up a pair of touchdowns. He scored in different ways and was able to put his skill set on display multiple times.
The first touchdown came on a short out route where Toure put on an impressive spin move to break free and get in the end zone:

The second touchdown came late in the game with Toure working on the outside. This time, Toure hit an out-and-up move before reeling in the touchdown near the sideline in the end zone:

Toure finished the game with 5 catches, the most of any player in the game for either team. Those catches went for 32 yards and a game-high 2 receiving touchdowns.
Toure was a big-play threat for Nebraska in 2021, leading the team with 896 receiving yards and 5 touchdowns. Hopefully he can build off of Thursday’s performance heading into the NFL Draft in April.
