Samori Toure was not selected until the 7th round of the 2022 NFL Draft. However, he’s making quite a strong impression during training camp with the Green Bay Packers.

On Friday, the Packers hosted “family night” with a practice and scrimmage time held inside Lambeau Field and open to the fans. Toure’s first nice play came in one-on-one battles when he beat his man on a fade route to the corner of the end zone.

Then in the scrimmage portion of the evening, Toure took the top of the defense with a route down the middle of the field. He caught a clean pass from Jordan Love and scored the touchdown and capped it off with his first Lambeau Leap.

Mike Spofford with Packers.com also highlighted Toure as his offensive star of the night. Here is what Spofford had to say about Toure’s outing:

Toure got going early with a nice adjustment and sliding catch on an end-zone fade from Jordan Love during one-on-ones against the defensive backs. Then during 11-on-11 near the goal line, he made another nifty sliding catch in the corner on a pass from Danny Etling.

The big highlight then came on a deep ball from Love, as Toure got behind two defenders and hauled in the pass for a touchdown of 50-plus yards.
