Scott Frost confirms season-long injury for Nebraska OL
Nebraska held a scrimmage on Friday and Scott Frost spoke with the media afterwards.
At one point, the second-year head coach said that the offensive line is “for sure” ahead of where it was a year ago.

However, there was a negative that came from Frost regarding the big uglies up front. Frost talked about Christian Gaylord, an offensive tackle who suffered a knee injury.
“He’s been our only potential season-ending guy,” Frost said. “You never want that to happen. I feel for Christian.”
Gaylord is a fifth-year player who was considered to be a backup tackle. He has played the majority of the time on special teams during his 33 games that he has appeared in.
The scrimmage that Nebraska ran was deemed “situational,” focusing on late-game situations, the two-minute drill and other areas of the field. The scrimmage was refereed by Big Ten officials and Frost said that the Huskers had their share of penalties.
Nebraska’s first game of 2019 will be on Aug. 31 at home against South Alabama.
