Nebraska’s hopes at bowl eligibility are still alive after taking down Maryland Saturday.
The Terrapins are undoubtedly having a rough season. However, the Cornhuskers imposed their will in an impressively strong performance in College Park. Nebraska put up over 500 yards of offense and nearly held the ball for 40 minutes in the 54-7 win.
After the game, head coach Scott Frost discussed the win and getting a bit of momentum for Nebraska. Everyone knows it has been a disappointing second season for Frost, but he also said he could see this win coming for a long time. Hopefully, getting one huge win will give the Cornhuskers momentum to follow it up with another one.
KOLN-TV 10/11 News shared Frost’s comments:
"When you get on a roll, get some momentum and get winning, it seems like it just keeps going in that direction. I think our guys need a few of these to have the confidence that these kind of things can happen." – Scott Frost after the victory against Maryland. pic.twitter.com/VO24BhGIQL
