That was fast.

Nebraska has already made changes to its coaching staff. The team has fired four offensive assistant coaches.

This comes after the Cornhuskers made the announcement that they would be restructuring Frost’s contract so he could remain their head coach for the foreseeable future.

ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg stated earlier on Monday that we can expect to see changes to the offensive staff at Nebraska for 2022, but it was surprising to see the changes get made this quickly.

Sam McKewon of the Omaha-World Herald broke the news via Twitter on Monday afternoon.

Offensive coordinator/wide receivers coach Matt Lubick, offensive line/run game coordinator Greg Austin, running backs coach Ryan Held, and quarterbacks coach Mario Verduzco have all been fired from the staff.

Lubick was the shortest tenured coach on staff that was let go, as he was in his second year. Coaches Austin and Held were in their fourth year on staff at Nebraska, while Verduzco just entered his sixth year with the team.

Who will Frost put on his staff? This is going to a lot fun to watch.
