Scott Frost hot seat: Georgia Southern's electric ground game puts head coach back in hot water
Scott Frost’s hot seat is not going anywhere any time soon, and Georgia Southern is the latest program to ratchet up the pressure.
The Eagles of the Sun Belt are in Lincoln for Week 2, and there has been no shortage of fireworks in the game. With less than 2 minutes remaining in the first half, the two sides have combined for 56 total points.
Right now, Nebraska’s offense keeping in step with Georgia Southern is the only saving grace for Frost’s Huskers. The Eagles are giving Nebraska all it can handle with an electric rushing attack.
Georgia Southern has already rushed for 4 touchdowns and almost 200 yards. That includes a 67-yard carry and another of 26 yards. And after fellow Sun Belt program Appalachian State knocked off No. 6 Texas A&M, fans are wondering if it will be Georgia Southern to finally put the dagger in Frost’s tenure at Nebraska.
