Scott Frost meets with media as Nebraska prepares for Week 0 showdown vs. Illinois
This weekend’s Week 0 matchup with Illinois will mark the beginning of Year 4 for Nebraska head coach Scott Frost, and the first three years have not been what anyone would call good.
The Huskers under Frost are just 12-20, and are now dealing with some off-the-field issues as well. Nebraska is reportedly under investigation for some NCAA violations, among which include improper practice time and an alleged misuse of analysts.
Those looking in would obviously think Frost is facing a lot of pressure, which he is. But according to insiders it’s still unlikely that he’s truly on the hot seat. The powers that be at Nebraska understand that this could be a long rebuild, but the hindrance of an investigation can’t help things develop.
Frost took some questions at his Monday press event, although after six minutes he ended the session.
Here are some of the things he did discuss.
Scott Frost said there will be an announcement on Monday from someone other than him about the team’s vaccination rate.
I asked if frost wanted to tell us.
“If I wanted to tell you, I would.”
