Scott Frost is just looking for his offense to show some efficiency against Northwestern. He also spoke about what it’s going to be like with OC Mark Whipple calling the plays per Husker Online.

Getting yards wasn’t the problem for the Cornhusker offense last season, they had 447.6 yards per game which ranked 3rd in the B1G. Being efficient when it comes to offense is a whole different animal, and Frost knows that.

“I just want to see efficiency, I know I sound like a broken record on that, but it doesn’t matter what offense you run,” said Frost. “If you run it well it can work. The key to that is operating with efficiency and speed. I’ve seen that from these guys… My message to the team is they’re ready, just go out and attack.”

Frost is also getting used to having a different role when it comes to calling plays. He will instead be dealing with special teams more this game.

“It’s more concern, it’s just something I haven’t done for a long time,” said Frost. “I’ve already thought about the other things I can add without my head buried in a call sheet… Going to try and help in more than one phase.”
