Scott Frost reflects on loss to Illinois in Monday press conference
It’s safe to say Scott Frost didn’t get any more popular this weekend.
His Cornhuskers, who once led 9-2, gave up 27 straight points to Illinois in an eventual 30-22 loss in Champaign in Week 0. Social media lit up with fans questioning if Frost would make it to the end of the season as head coach — or even the end of the weekend.
The latter, of course, didn’t happen, and he’s still in charge in Lincoln. Frost spoke about that opening game and how the game plan changed — drastically — in his press conference Monday afternoon.
Here are some of the highlights.

Nebraska coach Scott Frost reiterates that games last year at Memorial Stadium were deflating without fans. He said he’s expecting the same atmosphere Saturday in Lincoln that he’s seen for decades. If tickets remain, “buy them up,” Frost urges fans. “We need you there.”
