A few weeks ago, Scott Frost sent a message to his team: either you’re all in or you’re not. He made it clear that he didn’t want players who weren’t buying into his philosophy.

Despite an 0-4 start and the growing frustration with a lack of discipline and mental mistakes, the Nebraska head coach believes his team is starting to change. He can see it.

“I can see a change now,” Frost said during his weekly press conference on Monday. “Everybody is in the boat. Everybody is working.”

The Huskers are coming off a 42-28 loss to Purdue and are off to their worst start since 1945. And just a few days ago, Frost said he was “tired of watching” his players commit silly mistakes and play undisciplined football. He also ripped guys who were dancing on the sideline, saying “they look like they love losing.”

But Frost said that the team had a good practice on Monday and that several players had their best practice of the season. He believes it might be a moment when things start to change in the season.

“Sometimes you gotta go through those moments,” Frost said. “If we’re getting better day by day, inevitably you’re gonna end up where you want. And we got better today.”

Nebraska has a huge challenge ahead this week, traveling to Madison to take on No. 16 Wisconsin.
