Scott Frost snaps back at 'ridiculous rumors' involving Adrian Martinez
Nebraska quarterback Adrian Martinez briefly left last week’s game vs. Michigan State due to an injury. This prompted speculation about Martinez’s available for Nebraska’s Week 5 matchup vs. visiting Northwestern.
However, Nebraska coach Scott Frost quickly shot down the rumors during his press conference on Sept. 30. Frost confirmed that Martinez will be under center for the upcoming contest.
“I’ve heard some of the rumors… Ridiculous rumors. He probably has lupus and leprosy and smallpox and all these other things. He’s fine. He’s going to play.”

Nebraska leads the all-time series 8-6 vs. Northwestern. Northwestern won last season’s meeting. Nebraska-Northwestern is slated for Oct. 2 (7:30 p.m.) and will be televised on the BTN.
