Scott Frost cannot catch a break as he is now 5-21 in one-score games as the head coach of Nebraska. Nebraska is the first Power 5 team in the nation to lose 9 consecutive one-possession games since 2014-16.

Last season, Nebraska lost 8 of the 9 games within one possession. The last win for Nebraska in a one-possession game led by Frost came in the 2020 regular-season finale with a 28-21 victory at Rutgers.

Frost entered this 2022 college football season in his fifth season at Nebraska as he needed a win over Northwestern to get some momentum going. Nebraska had a chance to secure a win but made some questionable decisions to cost them another close game.

After another one-possession loss from Frost, it may be a long season for Nebraska as things might not change moving forward.
