Stanley Morgan Jr. is one of the best receivers in Nebraska history. Morgan is the school’s all-time receiving yards leader and until Friday, was the single-season leader as well.

In 2018, Morgan finished the season with 1,004 receiving yards, breaking his record of 986 from the 2017 season. On Friday against Iowa, Trey Palmer broke the single-season record with an 18-yard TD reception.

Morgan took to Twitter to congratulate Palmer.

Morgan, who currently plays for the Cincinnati Bengals, says he is “genuinely proud” of Palmer for besting his record.

2022 was the 1st season in Lincoln for Palmer, who spent the previous 3 years playing for the LSU Tigers. In his 1st season with the Huskers, Palmer has already etched his name into the record books.
