Nebraska hasn’t been nearly as active on the recruiting trail as other B1G programs this summer, but the players they have landed are high-quality prospects.

The Huskers added another extremely talented player to the 2020 class on Monday, receiving a commitment from three-star Texas wide receiver William Nixon. He’s one of the top 100 receivers this cycle, according to 247Sports.

Nixon made his announcement via Twitter on Monday. He’s the eighth player to join Nebraska’s 2020 recruiting class.

The 247Sports Crystal Ball had Nebraska as a heavy favorite to land Nixon, despite the fact that he is from Waco — Baylor territory. He had 15 offers other than Nebraska, choosing the Huskers over Baylor, Georgia Tech and Purdue.

Nixon is a speedy receiver with great vision and is incredibly elusive. His skillset will fit in perfectly with Scott Frost’s high-octane offense in Lincoln.

With Nixon committing to Nebraska, the Huskers rank 54th nationally in the recruiting rankings and 11th in the B1G.
