New Nebraska offensive coordinator Mark Whipple isn’t a big fan of shoes, apparently.
Whipple, who is entering his first season as the offensive coordinator in Lincoln, met with reporters on Wednesday as the Huskers continue to work through spring ball. He answered questions while standing at the podium without any shoes on.
He was wearing socks, so it wasn’t like he was imitating Fred Flintstone or anything, which is a good thing. It was just an interesting observation, not something you notice too frequently during these pressers.

As a fellow fan of being comfortable, I’m all about Whipple meeting with media without shoes on his feet. After working all day, shouldn’t he be allowed this simple pleasure?
As long as Whipple keeps his shoes on while he’s on the field, Nebraska should be in good shape.
