Nebraska is coming off its most recent one-possession loss, this time to Minnesota in Week 7 before a bye week.

The Cornhuskers are 5-17 in one-possession games since Scott Frost took over as coach in 2018, including 0-5 in such games this year. But in his Monday press conference, Frost said the fact that his team keeps coming that close shows “the progress is obvious.”

Nebraska is coming off the bye week, which was a chance to regather after the loss to Minnesota. However, Frost said he had to hit the “mad button” on Wednesday because he didn’t like how his team was practicing.

B1G teams have done well out of the bye lately, so it’ll be interesting to see how the Cornhuskers come out against Purdue, which lost to Wisconsin last week. Kickoff for that game is Oct. 30 at 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
