Thomas Fidone was one of the players who spoke at Tuesday’s presser. Fidone commented on Matt Rhule’s philosophy for Nebraska.

Rhule stated on Monday that there is no quick fix to rebuilding Nebraska and emphasized the importance of sticking it out. Fidone was asked if that was something has been talked about frequently from Rhule.

“Absolutely. He says it all the time, if you say we’re gonna do things one way and we’re gonna stick to that and then something happens and you change it, you’re just a fraud, you’re not really who you say you are. I think we’ve all learned a lot from Coach Rhule in that way. Double-down on the process and it’s all going to work out. I think that’s something — it will turn out the way we want it to.”

It sounds like Rhule practices what he preaches and his players respect that about him. Trusting the process has typically worked out with the programs Rhule has been at.

By year three at Temple and Baylor both programs showed drastic improvements from when Rhule started. It might not be an overnight change, but Rhule is urging Nebraska fans to stay patient on this rebuilding process.
