Nebraska head coach Tim Miles is now third on the all-time wins list in Huskers basketball history.

Sunday night, Nebraska recorded a 79-56 victory over Oklahoma State, improving to 9-2 on the season. That victory was No. 106 for Miles, which is tied for third all-time in Lincoln. Miles’ total ties Mo Iba, who coached the Huskers from 1980-1986.

Miles has been the head coach at Nebraska since the start of the 2012 season, posting a 106-99 record through his seventh season.

Nebraska was expected to big things on the hardwood this season after finishing 22-11 last year with a 13-5 mark in B1G play. So far, the Huskers have lived up to the hype.

Miles needs one more victory to sit in the No. 3 spot alone. He’ll have a great chance to get that win next Saturday when Nebraska hosts Cal State Fullerton in Lincoln. The Huskers then host Southwest Minnesota State to round out non-conference play on Dec. 29.

There’s still a lot of wins left before Miles would threaten climbing any further on Nebraska’s all-time list. Danny Nee sits atop the list with 254 wins and Joe Cipriano is No. 2 with 253 career wins in Lincoln.
