Trev Alberts was asked about the status of Scott Frost’s position with the football team after seeing rumors on social media. He gave his thoughts on it per Jimmy Watkins of the Omaha-World Herald.

Nebraska fans are starting to get restless with Frost, who lost 31-28 on Saturday to the Wildcats at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland. This is his 5th season with the Cornhuskers, and he has yet to have a winning season.

Alberts is sticking with Frost for now. He is just focusing on what he can control at the moment.

“At the end of the day, we can’t control social media,” the Husker AD said. “We can’t control rumors, innuendo. Stay focused, recognize a lot of it’s noise, and winning solves a lot of problems.”

If it’s results that Alberts wants, there is still time for Frost to turn things around. We’ll see if Alberts changes his stance on that towards the end of the season.
