Trey Palmer earns high marks for speed as fastest offensive player from Senior Bowl
Trey Palmer is hoping to hear his name called early in the 2023 NFL Draft. During his trip to the Reese’s Senior Bowl, Palmer did all he could to try and build his stock at the event.
Friday evening, Jim Nagy — Executive Director of the Senior Bowl — shared some specifics of Palmer’s outing in Mobile. According to Nagy, Palmer was the fastest offensive player at the Senior Bowl while clocking a top speed of 21.15 MPH.
That type of speed and acceleration is on display in a double move shared by Nagy. Nagy also believes there’s a chance Palmer runs a sub-4.3 time in his 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine.
Nebraska WR Trey Palmer was fastest offensive player in Mobile this year at 21.15 mph per @ZebraTechnology. Not surprising considering he ran 10.4 100m in HS.

Should Palmer run below a 4.3 time in his 40-yard dash, he would likely be in the running for the fastest time at the Combine. While it’s not likely Palmer will be the first wide receiver selected in the draft, his speed and big-play ability shown at Nebraska last season should help him come off the board as a solid selection in April.
