Trey Palmer went nuclear in Week 7 for Nebraska. The only problem? His record-setting day ultimately came in a loss to Purdue.

In fact, most of Palmer’s damage came in the second half as the Huskers tried to claw back into things against the Boilermakers. He caught a 37-yard touchdown right out of halftime and added a huge 72-yard bomb to his tally before the quarter was over.

When it was all said and done, Palmer finished the night with 7 catches for 237 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also finished as the leading rusher for the Huskers with 60 yards on a carry.

Added all together and Palmer came up just short of a 300-yard outing against Purdue. But asked after the game about a favorite moment, Palmer did not have one.

His reasoning? All the hard work came in a loss. Palmer also said the outing was as simple as making plays when his number was called.
