The previous record was set by JD Spielman in 2018 with 209 yards.
The game sets a new career-high for Palmer, who is currently in the middle of his first season for the Huskers after transferring from LSU. Palmer also eclipsed the 100-yard mark against Indiana in a 35-21 victory.
Unfortunately, the Huskers could not complete the comeback and fell to the Boilermakers in a high-flying affair in Week 7. Nevertheless, Palmer’s record will probably stand for a while.
