Ty Robinson explains how Nebraska gained an advantage on blocked FG

Ty Robinson was huffing it to catch up with the mob of Huskers streaking towards the end zone. It was about to be 21-0 for Nebraska over Purdue following the Huskers’ blocked field goal that they returned for a touchdown.

Quinton Newsome did the honors, taking the blocked kick back over 70 yards for the score. Check it out below:

Following the game, Robinson told reporters that the team knew the left guard would be a little light in his stance. And you can see that in the play above.

That’s great coaching from Nebraska’s staff, and it all but put the Boilermakers to bed with nearly 30 minutes left to play.

Nebraska is 5-3 on the season, needing just 1 more win to crack bowl eligibility. The Huskers face off against Michigan State next weekend.
