Walter Rouse was a player that made a surprising decision to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal after 4 years of starting at Stanford. Rouse took time and announced on his Twitter page on Wednesday that will be enrolling at Nebraska to play as a graduate student.

Rouse started 11 of the 12 games his freshman year in 2019. He played in 30 while starting in the last 29 games in the previous 3 years. Rouse could come in as an immediate starter at Nebraska in 2023.

Rouse was a former 3-star offensive tackle from Washington DC in the 2019 recruiting class, according to 247Sports Composite.

He had 37 offers to play college football including Northwestern, Notre Dame, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn State, Purdue, and Syracuse.

Rouse is the 9th player to commit to the Cornhuskers after previously entering the transfer portal. He is the second offensive tackle to commit to Nebraska, joining former Arizona State player Ben Scott.
