De’Mornay Pierson-El is fast.
Maybe that’s the most obvious statement of the night, but when the guy runs past an entire defense, it’s worth reiterating.
On Friday night’s B1G clash between Nebraska and Illinois, the Huskers receiver cut across the middle of the field, caught a pass from Tanner Lee and jaunted to the end zone for the first touchdown of the game. A play that looked like it had been blown up by the Illini defense quickly turned into six points.

Considering the troubles Lee has had throwing the football early this year, it was exactly the kind of start he needed.
Pierson-El entered Friday’s contest with 17 receptions for 210 yards and three touchdowns. It was the eighth touchdown pass of the season for Lee.
