Devine Ozigbo is starting to make a bit of headway with the New Orleans Saints.

Ozigbo put together a nice career at Nebraska, including rushing for 1,082 yards and 12 TDs as a senior in 2018. He finished his Cornhuskers career with over 2,000 yards total but went undrafted in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Since then, Ozigbo has landed with the Saints and is trying to make the final roster. He is playing well through two preseason games, and he finally found the end zone on Sunday. It wasn’t a run play. Instead, he caught a short throw for a one-yard touchdown:

Ozigbo finished the game with three catches for 23 yards and a touchdown. He also carried the ball eight times for 30 yards. Unfortunately, he did lose a fumble in the game.

Hopefully, Ozigbo keeps doing enough to stick with the team. He would be a nice dual-threat running back to add to the Saints’ offense.
