WATCH: Nebraska great Adam Carriker can still squat 400 pounds after 10 major surgeries
Nebraska Hall of Famer Adam Carriker’s pro football career ended in 2014, but the Cornhusker great is still one strong dude.
Carriker recently shared a video on Twitter showing he can still squat 405 pounds. That may sound like a lot to the average fan, but Carriker dismisses it as “good, but not a ton of [weight]” in the tweet accompanying his video.
He wanted to share that he could still squat that amount because he’s noted it’s pretty impressive for someone who has had 10 major surgeries (six right knee, two left ankle, one left shoulder, one right shoulder).
Carriker writes, “Doctors told me ‘Your knees suck, it’s a miracle you can walk.'” It’s apparent that is no longer an accurate evaluation.
405 lbs is good but not a ton of wt to squat. Most don’t know I’ve had 10 major surgeries (6 right knee, 2 left ankle, both shoulders). Doctors told me “Your knees suck, it’s a miracle you can walk.” Keep your sympathy! I haven’t squatted over 300 lbs in a decade…Until today! pic.twitter.com/JoS8pHHmrz
