WATCH: Nebraska pays tribute to defense & football blackshirts with new volleyball court design

The Nebraska football team is known for awarding black shirts to its starters on defense. The volleyball team stayed with the “black” theme in a new video that revealed the design of the new volleyball court in Lincoln.

The Cornhuskers new court has a black baseline that surrounds the entire playing surface. Fans can get their first look at the court in the video, which also pays tribute to Nebraska volleyball’s suffocating defense:

As the video indicates, Nebraska has posted a cumulative opponent hitting percentage lower than .155, which is the best in Division I volleyball.

Cornhuskers volleyball will play on the new court for the first time Friday when they host High Point.
