WATCH: This Nebraska kickoff attempt is among the worst in history

This is an ugly play for Nebraska.

The game’s opening drive for the Cornhuskers was impressive as the offense marched right down the field against Ohio State. Devine Ozigbo plunged in from one yard out to give Nebraska an early 7-0 lead and solid momentum.

Unfortunately, things went sideways on the ensuing kickoff. Literally. In what can only be explained as an attempted onside kick, the kicker nearly whiffed on the ball.

He did make some contact with the ball initially bouncing backwards. The Cornhuskers would recover the ball on the 36-yard line, but the ball was nine yards short of traveling the necessary distance for an onside kick.
