WATCH: This punt attempt perfectly sums up Nebraska's poor start to the season
This is not how the punt was supposed to go for Nebraska.
It has certainly been a rough start for the Cornhuskers in 2018, and things are once again not going well against Purdue. Nebraska is still searching for its first win under head coach Scott Frost, and it is possible that search will continue beyond Saturday.
The Boilermakers have shown poise and balance on offense behind QB David Blough through the first half. There is still time for Nebraska to put up points and make something happen. However, if this punt attempt is any indication, things are just not meant to go the Huskers’ way.
The punter slipped while trying to get a running start for his kick and went down in a heap. He was able to at least get a kick away, but it was a weak attempt that bounced on the ground for a short distance.
