Nebraska fans now have the double motivation to root for Jordan Westerkamp to go off.

The Husker receiver’s facial hair is well known in the B1G community, for better or for worse. His mustache, he admitted, is usually the target of his in-game Twitter mentions.

Westerkamp confessed Thursday on a Big Ten Live appearance that he would be willing to part ways with his famed stache if he was able to accomplish something.

“200-yard receiving game,” Westerkamp told BTN’s Mike Hall. “I know it’s possible and I think it’s time to start cleaning up a little bit. If I can pull that off, I’ll do it.”

Westerkamp is knocking on the door of his first 200-yard game after recording a career-high 11 catches and 118 receiving yards last week against Southern Mississippi. It marked his fifth straight game with a touchdown, dating back to last year.

The junior wideout did record a career-best 158 yards at Michigan State in 2014 and helped fuel a late Nebraska rally.

Westerkamp has been rocking his trademark look since he was a freshman in Lincoln. If he keeps torching defenses, it won’t last through 2015.
