What Scott Frost said as Nebraska prepares for B1G West bout with Minnesota
Nebraska entered their game with Michigan with an even 3-3 record, and had been playing better each week.
But with a tie score and less than two minutes left to play against the Wolverines, the Huskers had the ball and an opportunity to finish off a drive and win the game. But NU quarterback Adrian Martinez took a 3-and-1 snap and while being stopped short of the first down, had the ball punched loose for a fumble.
While the Huskers put up a good fight, it seems to be the same story of getting close, but coming up short. And the numbers don’t lie, as NU head coach is no 5-16 since he’s taken the helm of the Huskers program.
Frost took to the podium on Monday to give updates, and talk about the approach for Saturday’s B1G West matchup with Minnesota.
Asked about the strength of the Big Ten, Frost said it's very good, and, what's more NU is playing all the best teams in it, too.

Frost says Trev Alberts went around to each NU assistant coach Sunday and told them how proud he was of their work.

Frost said Nouili has "exceeded my expectations" in games. He's been more consistent in games than he was in camp.

Rahmir Johnson started coming on in fall camp, Frost said. Johnson was 5th on the depth chart in spring. He started playing 100% full speed on every play, Frost said, and it made a difference. NU's patience paid off, too. #huskers
