It happened again.
Nebraska scratched, clawed and fought to hang with an extremely talented Wisconsin team and had opportunities to steal a win in Madison. But, once again, the Huskers fell one possession short of a massive upset.
The Huskers dropped a 35-28 contest to the Badgers at Camp Randall Stadium, falling to 3-8 on the season. The worst part? All losses have come by single digits, and 7 have been decided in one-possession games.
It’s the definition of pain.
After the game, head coach Scott Frost spoke with reporters about another heartbreaking loss. Here’s what the leader of the Huskers had to say following the contest:
Frost: "I didn't get an explanation. I was probably too angry to ask for an explanation… I said, 'You need to throw a flag on me…' I don't want to talk about (that)…" Goes into the rest of the game. Discusses penalties/ST breakdowns.

Frost: "We're beat up. Everyone's beat up this time of year. That's not an excuse." Said NU has to tackle better than it did.

Frost liked where his team was at with the clock, with first-and-10 at the 11 before the holding call. Had 3 timeouts at that point, 34 seconds left, and didn't want to leave Wisconsin much time.
He said he told the team before the drive the plan was to score and go for 2.

Scott Frost said he wasn’t really thinking about using the timeouts before he did in part because he didn’t want to score too fast. Felt “really good” about things until the holding penalty. #huskers

Scott Frost said the first INT from his vantage point today, was on the WR. Said WR (Martin) needs to go get the ball.

Frost thought Oliver Martin needed to go get that first INT watching it live, but wants to go look at the film to see what happened.
The second INT? "The ball floated in the air too long, and the safety came and got it."

Frost said his team has had “a little too much hoping we’d win” and not enough belief in it. He told the offense they were going to go for two after they scored at the end.
Holding call got them behind the sticks and then four straight incompletions ended it.

Frost is pretty emotional right now. Says he doesn't want to talk about the no-call on the pass interference. Said he would've gone for 2 if they had scored. #Huskers
