What Scott Frost said in final presser before Nebraska starts fall camp
Just a week after he took the stage at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis for B1G Media Days, Scott Frost was back in front of the media.
Thursday afternoon, Frost met with reporters to talk about the start of fall camp, scheduled to begin on Friday. Nebraska gets a bit of an early start with the Huskers traveling to Champaign to play Illinois in Week 0 on Saturday, Aug. 28.
Frost fielded questions about injuries, position groups, vaccination rates and the general outlook for the team. He’ll be entering his fourth season with the program. In his first three years, the Huskers are 12-20 and have yet to make a bowl appearance.
Here’s what Frost said during his final presser before Nebraska kicks off fall camp:
#Huskers coach Scott Frost says he's not comfortable saying what percentage of the roster is vaccinated yet against COVID-19 but adds, "Vaccination is the best way for us to have an uninterrupted season."

Frost says Thomas Fidone will be available, potentially, late in the season.

Scott Frost says he wants position battles to be settled earlier this camp than before. Wants the "main guys" working against each other more often in an effort to reduce efforts. #huskers

"This is the best feeling around our building by a long shot we've had," Frost said. He wants to make some decisions earlier on who's where on the roster this camp to build continuity, so guys better be ready from the jump. At running back? No secret there. "Up for grabs."
