The Lincoln Journal Star reported that Nebraska wide receivers coach Keith Williams received his punishment for his third driving-under-the-influence arrest.

According to the Journal Star, Williams, who pled no contest, received 30 days of jail time, three years of probation and he’ll pay a $1,000 fine.

Williams can, however, apply to serve his jail time on house arrest. The Journal Star reported that the prosecution pushed for Williams to serve his 30 days in jail because he didn’t do so for his previous two offenses.

Williams will also have his license suspended for five years.

The Aug. 14 arrest came after Williams crashed into the back of a car in downtown Lincoln at 1:50 a.m. According to the police report, Williams told the other driver that his car insurance provider was Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Williams was then taken into police custody. His blood-alcohol level was 0.15, which is 0.07 above the legal limit.

Despite that fact that it was his third DUI — he had one in 2004 and another in 2009 before he got to Nebraska — Williams was only suspended for the first four games of the 2016 season. He also issued a public apology.

Nebraska released the following statement:

“The Nebraska Athletics Department is aware of Keith Williams’ court appearance and sentencing in the Lancaster County Court this afternoon. Since the incident in August, Keith has accepted responsibility for and acknowledged the seriousness of his actions, and we will continue to support him.”
