Nwaneri heads to Nebraska with all 4 years of collegiate eligibility remaining. This past season, he appeared in 4 games for the Tigers, allowing him to take a redshirt. In those 4 appearances, he recorded 2 total tackles, including a sack for 2 yards.

Nwaneri had a memorable recruitment and was highly sought-after as one of the top recruits in the Class of 2024. Out of Lee’s Summit (Missouri) North High School, Nwaneri was rated 5-stars, the No. 1 player in the state, No. 1 defensive lineman and No. 8 prospect overall nationally on the 247Sports Composite.

During his original recruitment, Nwaneri picked up scholarship offers from 34 programs, including Nebraska, Alabama, Auburn, Colorado, Florida, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Penn State, Texas, Texas A&M and USC. He narrowed his focus to Mizzou, Oklahoma, Georgia, Oregon and Tennessee before pledging to MU.

Nwaneri will be part of Nebraska’s 2025 squad. The 2024 Huskers wrap up the season on Dec. 28 at Yankee Stadium, facing Boston College in the Pinstripe Bowl.
