Michigan State geared up for the 2025-26 season by landing a key trio of transfer pieces to reshape the roster. Unfortunately, one of those players is feared to be lost for the season.
According to Joe Tipton with On3 Sports, incoming forward Kaleb Glenn is believed to have torn his patellar tendon. That injury will force Glenn to miss the 2025-26 season, and the current plan is for Michigan State to redshirt Glenn, according to Tipton.
This past season, Glenn appeared in 34 games (5 starts) for FAU and was the team’s leading scorer at 12.6 points per game. He was a weapon from 3-point range at 41% while also averaging 4.8 rebounds, 0.6 assists and 0.6 steals.

In the transfer portal, Glenn received a 4-star rating as the 15th overall small forward available, per 247 Sports. He was expected to replace some of the scoring production the Spartans lost with Jase Richardson heading to the NBA Draft and Jaden Akins graduating.
The Spartans did add shooting guard Trey Fort (Samford) and point guard Divine Ugochukwu (Miami) via the transfer portal, but the loss of Glenn is certainly significant. After the season for MSU since 2018-19, it is already a tough blow for Tom Izzo and his staff to navigate entering the year.
