One Shining Moment: CBS drops 2025 March Madness montage following national title game

The “One Shining Moment” montage is a staple of March Madness and the NCAA Tournament. On Monday night, fans were treated to the special segment compiled by CBS Sports after the conclusion of the national title game.
Unfortunately for the Big Ten, it was another season without a program from the conference at the top of the basketball world. Michigan State hoisting the title in 2000 is still the last title for the B1G, though this year’s “One Shining Moment” does feature some incredible moments from the league.
Maryland advancing to the Sweet 16 on a memorable buzzer-beater from Derik Queen is included. However, the Terps were eventually eliminated with Kevin Willard off to Villanova afterwards.
Michigan State and Purdue also rolled into the Elite Eight, delivering huge performances for Tom Izzo and Matt Painter. Coen Carr’s soaring dunks and Braden Smith’s star play are also included in the montage.
In the end, Florida reigns supreme in this college basketball season after mounting a 12-point comeback against Houston. It gives the Gators a 3rd national title, all coming since the 2006 national championship under Billy Donovan.
So, what can we expect moving into the 2025-26 season? Only Purdue checks in high on the early 2026 March Madness odds produced by FanDuel, with the rest of the list dominated by the ACC, SEC and Big 12.
We’ll see if any B1G team is able to flip those odds on their head, and use the Ohio sports betting apps to track all the action.
