Oregon point guard Jackson Shelstad, the Ducks’ second-leading scorer as a sophomore, is reportedly set to enter the transfer portal after three seasons with the program, according to On3’s Joe Tipton.

Shelstad started his junior campaign on a high note, averaging 15.6 points and 4.9 assists in 12 games and 34.8 minutes per outing. In December, though, he suffered a right-hand injury, ending his season.

It brings Shelstad’s time with Oregon to an end. The Beaver State native was rated the nation’s No. 6 point guard by 247Sports when he signed with Dana Altman and the Ducks out of the class of 2023.

As a true freshman, he started 30 games and played in 32. In 32.6 minutes, he posted 12.8 points per game, finishing behind N’Faly Dante and Jermaine Cousinard on the Ducks’ scoring chart and helping them to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

He started all 35 games for Oregon as a sophomore, finishing the season averaging 13.7 points and 32.9 minutes. After the season, he was named an All-Big Ten Third-Team selection.

After suffering a hand injury against Omaha, Shelstad’s season came to an end. He planned to seek a medical redshirt that, if granted, would mean he had two years of eligibility remaining.
