Ohio State is looking at a potentially thin wide receiver group once again in Week 5 vs. Rutgers. The Buckeyes dropped their status report ahead of kickoff with one starter listed as out and another receiver listed as a game-time decision.
According to Dan Hope with Eleven Warriors, Jaxon Smith-Njigba is unavailable for Ohio State once again. Smith-Njigba continues to wrestle with a hamstring injury sustained in the season opener.
Unfortunately, Emeka Egbuka has also been added to the status report as a “game-time decision.” It is unclear what Egbuka is dealing with at this time.
Egbuka did participate in early warmups on Saturday.
Cornerback Cameron Brown, CB Jordan Hancock and safety Cameron Martinez are also sidelined for Saturday’s game.
Emeka Egbuka has been added to today’s status report as a game-time decision. He is going through warmups through the rest of the Buckeyes right now.
