With college football just a couple of weeks away, CBS Sports unveiled their preseason All-American list as this includes the best players from each conference.
The B1G is always represented well and it’s no different for this year. One of the players on the first-team list is receiver Chris Olave from Ohio State as he’s one of their best-returning players. He had 729 yards receiving and 7 touchdowns last season.
Center Tyler Linderbaum of Iowa also made the cut as he’s always been durable for the Hawkeyes, and safety Brandon Joseph from Northwestern also got on there as well.
Here is the full list of all the first-team players from the B1G that got on, plus a look at the second team players:
First Team
- WR – Chris Olave, Ohio State
- C – Tyler Linderbaum, Iowa
- OL – Thayer Munford, Ohio State
- DL – Haskell Garrett, Ohio State
- S – Brandon Joseph, Northwestern
- KR – Aron Cruickshank, Rutgers
Second Team
- RB – Mohamed Ibrahim, Minnesota
- WR – Garrett Wilson, Ohio State
- DL – George Karlaftis, Purdue
- DL – Aidan Hutchinson, Michigan
As always, there definitely will be talk of snubs so we’ll have to see if some players that didn’t make the list (like Master Teague) have a great season to prove their doubters wrong.
